Happy to be heading to this year's CAA Conference in Los Angeles. I'm on the panel "Autonomy in the 1960s" convening on Friday morning. My paper "Scoring Autonomy: The Work-Concept from Classical Music to Cagean Performance" uses Charlotte Moorman's contentious engagement with John Cage's 26' 1.1499" to question the collaborative promise of scored works in the visual arts.
